The diving

Dive centers vary as much as the diving does. But sometimes you hit a strike, and this is one of those cases. Wake up in your wooden bungalow, tip toe through the white sand down to the dive center on the beach, grab a cup of coffee and experience the vibe of divers at work. As a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Center, you will be in the hands of talented people with a great passion for diving to expand your experience.

The Perhentian Islands are lovely for all levels of divers, and perfect for beginners. With sites including a spectacular pinnacle, half a dozen wrecks, awesome reefs and even cool macro life there is something for everyone, all within a 15 - 25 minute boat ride of the dive shop

The Location
Explore the reefs with the dive center, trek through the jungle that covers the island, or snorkel from beach to beach. It is a green island, full of life, but no roads, no cars, and absolutely NO stress! As the sun sets, grab a seafood bbq dinner on the beach. And if you are not diving the next day, take a 10-minute walk over to Long Beach and dance barefooted in the sand till the morning arrives together with backpackers and locals alike.

You can always grab a boat taxi to a secluded beach, or do the short walk through the jungle to the famous long beach for a party, but the serenity and the all time presence of nature in Coral Bay will always drag you back in the morning! And if you are a little fresh, then jump in the ocean for an early morning snorkel on the corner reef to maximize your luck of seeing little black reef sharks buzzing around beneath you.

Your Accommodation
We have chosen the accommodations at Maya Chalets because of the amazing beach frontage these funky little bungalows provide and the overall peace and calmness that overflows the place... Plus, it is right next door to the dive center.

Your room
Your private wooden bungalows is pretty straight forward. It has a fan to cool you at night, and a cold fresh shower in a private bathroom to cool you during the day. The best feature is your private bungalow porch with a hammock and oceanview. Perfect for afternoon napping!
