Fundiving Khao Lak is really fundiving The Similan Islands. If you have looked into the diving in Thailand, you will know that the Similans are rated as one of the absolute top destinations there. The reefs are far away from the mainland, which means that the dive sites are visited by the bigger pelagic animals coming in to feed on the reefs. The water is usually stunningly clear, and the reefs, even the ones nearer the mainland, are covered in corals and fish. A day trip to the Similans, Koh Bon and the nearby reefs is suitable for all levels. You will need to depart from Khao Lak if you want to do day trips to the Similans and the surrounding area.
